The Lince Santa Clara

In 2024, The Lince Santa Clara opened its doors—a 5-star hotel set within the iconic Santa Clara Monastery in Vila do Conde. The interior design, crafted by Vilaça Interiores, blends pieces from some of the world’s most prestigious brands with exclusive creations designed specifically for the space. The concept draws inspiration from an in-depth study of the monastery’s 700-year history, the local identity, and Vila do Conde’s rich heritage—a city older than Portugal itself, with deep ties to the sea and fishing.

The preserved arches throughout the building became central symbols of the dialogue between past and present, forming the core of the decorative approach. The hotel offers rooms with distinct characteristics, each requiring a highly detailed and specialized design. Another highlight is the restaurant “Oculto,” where identity, design, and experience come together in a uniquely immersive way.
